Upon reaching the crystal-clear lake, an invisible voice—a Yaksha in the form of a crane (*Baka*)—warns him: **"This lake belongs to me. You may drink only after answering my questions"**[4]. Disregarding the warning, Nakula drinks the water and instantly collapses[4][6]. One by one, Sahadeva, Arjuna, and Bhima follow, ignore the Yaksha's warning, and meet the same fate[4][6].
