Michael Jackson - BAD Bass cover with Tabs and Sheet

Today we’re going to learn how to play one of the great classics of ’80s pop: “Bad” by Michael Jackson, from his legendary 1987 album. This iconic groove has a very interesting story behind it: the original Bass part wasn’t actually played on electric Bass, but created with synthesizers and the Synclavier, with Christopher Currell involved in the programming and sound design. The bass line is a great example of how MJ’s rhythm arrangements use simplicity and repetition to create a powerful groove. The part leaves plenty of space, locking tightly with the drums and reinforcing the song’s distinctive accents rather than constantly filling the space. Its short, punchy notes give it an almost percussive function, helping to drive the track forward while leaving room for the vocals, guitars and percussion. For a bass player, what makes this line interesting is precisely how much impact can be created with very few notes. The challenge is not playing a lot, but making every note sit perfectly in the pocket and contribute to that unmistakable Bad feel. 🔥🎸 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I hope you enjoy this video, and if you find this useful, you can DOWNLOAD THIS TAB/SHEET + GUITAR PRO, HERE: https://mymusic5.com/basstunes/503745 Also you can FOLLOW ME ON SOCIAL NETWORKS for more Bass videos: YOUTUBE:    / massimilianogentilini   INSTAGRAM:   / marfi_gentilini   TIK TOK:   / basstuneschannel   If you like my work, TIP ME with a SUPERTHANKS.
