Chilin - There Was No Ocean Then (Official Lyric Video)

“There Was No Ocean Then” is about defending a love after it’s been rewritten as nothing: the same bones turn up on both shores, and no one shares four years by accident. This one’s for whoever refuses to shrink it down just to make the losing make sense. Highlight lyrics: “The same bones on both shores don’t lie the way people do.” "Chilin makes original song about grief, memory, and the goodbyes no one names — sparse piano, cello, and layered female vocals, for listeners who want a song that says what they couldn't." Written, composed & produced by Chilin. Thank you for listening. © 2026 Chilin Music.
