📖 About Surah Al-Kahf (From Kanzul Iman Commentary)
Surah Al-Kahf consists of 110 verses and was revealed in Makkah. In the classical commentary framework of Kanzul Iman, this Surah is celebrated as an extraordinary guide containing four profound parables that address the core trials of human life: the trial of faith, the trial of wealth, the trial of knowledge, and the trial of power.
According to the commentary, the Surah provides immense comfort by detailing how Allah protected the People of the Cave (As-hab al-Kahf) who fled their tyrannical king to preserve their faith, causing them to sleep safely for centuries. Kanzul Iman beautifully highlights the subsequent narratives: the owner of the two gardens testing our attachment to wealth, the journey of Prophet Musa (Moses) with Al-Khidr demonstrating absolute submission to divine wisdom, and the righteous rule of Dhul-Qarnayn using power to protect the innocent. The commentary accentuates the immense blessings of reciting this Surah, particularly on Fridays, as a spiritual light and a powerful defense against the trials of the Antichrist (Dajjal).
