nmk/かなえゆめ - Childie Sharp (JP/ENG/ROMAJI SUB)

Childie Sharp is a song composed by nmk sung by かなえゆめ (Kanae Yume) for the GENRE SHUFFLE event, where composers would engage in a random swap of self-submitted genres to make a BMS track to. In the event, nmk had gotten the genre EUROBEAT, so he created an image song for the character Tilde Sharp from Rance Quest. The BGA, most likely created by nmk himself, is a Dance×Mixer video of her dancing in front of one of the default backgrounds. This song is known for being in the Insane Table in BMS, specifically in the ★4 folder, as a solid chordstream chart. I actually only decided to work on this since this is one of my favorite songs in Insane BMS in fact! TL Note: Her name is チルディ・シャープ which officially is translated as "Tilde Sharp". I decided to stick with Childie Sharp since that is what nmk used for the song title, which would be weird to deviate from, even if it is incorrect under a technicality. TL Note 2: Even though this is the image song of Tilde Sharp, it does not seem like the lyrics have anything to do with Rance. The immediate interpretation is more likely a song about racing, which falls in line with the EUROBEAT theme that nmk was challenged to create for. nmk states that he decided to use Tilde Sharp due to her high energy, which does further cement the idea that the song is not really about her. However, the line "ヒカリ掴む" is very curious, since there actually is a character in Rance Quest named ヒカリ・ミ・ブラン. This to me (and the others) seems like a red herring as it makes more sense to interpret this as 光 (light). I strongly doubt the connections to Rance here, but it is possible that this is incorrect (and neither of us know Rance lol), and I apologize if so.
