Hamburg is diverse – in respect of several areas of residence or freetime activities. So on the one hand, you got all those fancy high upper-class quarters and on the other hand the Alster within the city, the city circle with numerous shopping hot-spots and the beautiful town hall. Above all, when starting a boat trip from the landing bridges you may watch over to St. Pauli, which is not far away from there. When talking about St. Pauli, I don't mean the soccer club itself, but rather the red light district with lots of bars, restaurants, strip clubs and other nutty locations. Hey, just saying, this is not an offence, because St. Pauli is a must-see place when spending some time in Hamburg next to many other sights of course. But, the highlighted, colorful, straight, queer or whatever strip right behind the Davids Watch, the popular police station, is just such a huge representation icon speaking for this city right up in the North of Germany.
