When I first heard about Leavenworth, a village designed to look as though it had been plucked straight from the Bavarian Alps, I knew I had to visit. Located just over two hours from Seattle, Washington, this Bavarian-Swiss-themed alpine town is surrounded by beautiful mountains. Although Leavenworth looks strikingly similar to a real Bavarian village from the outside, the things I discovered here were actually quite different.
