I Finally Arrived in Rio! My Hotel & First Look at Barra da Tijuca

After a long journey, I finally arrived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil! In this vlog, I head to the Windsor Barra Hotel in Barra da Tijuca, check in and explore my first accommodation in Rio. I take you around the hotel, have a look at the room and facilities, and share some of the small differences I noticed compared with hotels in the UK — including the bathroom and wash area, where some of the Portuguese labels and design were quite interesting to see. And then comes one of my favourite parts of the hotel: the view. Windsor Barra is a five-star hotel located in Barra da Tijuca, close to the beach. The hotel has around 339 apartments and suites, with rooms offering views towards the sea and mountains. It also has a panoramic rooftop area, swimming pools, sauna and fitness facilities. But rather than making this a formal hotel review, I wanted to simply take you along with me as I arrived in Rio and experienced the hotel for the first time. From landing in Rio to checking in, exploring the room and finishing with the beautiful sea view — this is the beginning of my Brazil journey.
