72 Hours Before Salkantay Trek (Cusco & Sacred Valley)

We had 3 days in Cusco to acclimate before a 5-day Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu. This is what those 72 hours actually felt like. Jordan and I land at 3,400 meters, already dying on a couple of stairs. The plan is simple: chill, take the altitude meds, drink some coca, and hope we’re ide of the road for $40. Last day we take a private food tour around the historic center before our briefing for the upcoming Salkantay Trek.
