This video is an overview on drug-induced cardiotoxicity on its mechanism of toxicity, clinical guidelines on its risk factors, steps on how to prevent cardiotoxicity, monitoring of symptoms, detection of biomarkers and how to manage the cardiotoxicity at the early stages. Drugs eg anthracyclines, tyrosine kinase inhibitors, human epidermal growth factor inhibitors, proteosomal inhibitors and immune checkpoint inhibitors are covered in the video. The wide range of cardiotoxicity diseases can be a result of these drugs such as heart failure, arrhythmia, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, myocarditis, with monitoring with echocardiogram, troponin and B natriuretic peptide levels.
