Miles Davis Sextet Philadelphia Pennsylvania USA November.17, 1970 [Probably 1970-11-15] - Miles Davis Sextet - - Miles Davis Gary Bartz Keith Jarrett Jack De Johnette Michael Henderson Airto Moreira 01 - Directions 02 - Honky Tonk 03 - What I Say 04 - Sanctuary 05 - It's About That Time 06 - FunkyTonk 07 - The Theme Original comments: "Miles Davis Sextet at the Electric Factory in 1970 B&W video filmed with a single camera in the projection booth (possibly this was the video feed for the green room & press box like Bill Graham was doing at the Fillmore East & Fillmore West except he used 2 cameras and had a vision mixer) Now synced to a soundboard audio the camera did not handle movement or low light very well but it is very watchable **note** there was no audio for 3 minutes from 9 - 12 mins during "Directions" rather than delete any of this rare video a good match was found from the same place in the song at a show around this time at (Paterson or Petersburg in New Jersey late 1970) and patched in Also "It's About That Time" cut out just before the end of Miles solo and cut in just after the theme of "Funky Tonk" was played before Gary Bartz solo. To make them more complete about 15 seconds for each was used from the Fillmore West Oct 15,17 1970 shows to complete the solo and include the main theme for "Funky Tonk" my opinion is as the audio mix changes through out the show a few might notice the 3 mins in "Directions" but hardly anyone will ever notice the "It's About That Time" end and start of "Funky Tonk" is from the Fillmore West the fix is quite seamless " Thanks to Azrael, woessner & daveg9876. We are appealing to you on behalf of legendary master percussionist/drummer Airto Moreira for help with his physical rehabilitation. After a recent and challenging battle with pneumonia, Airto was finally released from the hospital and is now back at his apartment in Curitiba, Brazil. The experience has left him extremely fragile and with very minimal corporal mobility. He cannot perform the most basic daily tasks without assistance and requires the support of a professional caregiver. In addition, he also requires bi-weekly home visits from a registered nurse, as well as medication. He also needs extensive treatments and particular physical therapy to recover as much of his corporal mobility as possible. Airto and his family need your help with this overwhelming task! He has no medical insurance and is currently on a waiting list to receive governmental assistance. However, the wait time for his age group is a minimum of six months, and it could take up to a year for him to get just some of the governmental support he requires. We hope that together we can all generate the resources he urgently needs to support his recovery and inspire him on the uphill journey back to himself. A tribute concert for Airto is on the way in the spirit of this endeavor. The target is mid-September to early October.
