Courtesy of RTÉ Creedon's Atlas of Ireland Huge thanks to RTÉ for this video they recorded of Nós Nua - Youth Folk Orchestra for Creedon's Atlas of Ireland which aired on September 4th 2022, and was recorded on 5th September 2021. Captain McNeill was composed by Turlough Carolan on a visit to Strandfield House in at Ballymascanlon in Co.Louth at some time in the 1730s. The lyric is a toast which was reunited with the melody by Padraigín Ní Uallacháin who taught it to the orchestra in 2018 for their performance at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann.
