Prettiest Ghost – BARMACY | Haunting Love Song (Lyric Video)

I'm The Prettiest Ghost In The Room by BARMACY. Official lyric video. A smoky, cinematic dream pop ballad. She's put on the red dress he used to love, painted her lips and lit a candle that's burning down slow, while he's on the sofa with his mates, shouting at the game and promising one more round. She's right there in the doorway, and he never once looks up. She's the prettiest ghost in the room. LYRICS [Verse 1] I put on the red dress you used to like Painted my lips like a stop sign You're on the couch with the boys and the game Shouting at the TV, never once say my name I light a candle, it burns down slow Like everything else that you'll never know Pour me a glass of something sweet Dancing alone in my stockinged feet [Pre-Chorus] And I'm waiting, waiting Like a song on the radio That you never turn up Never turn up [Chorus] Look at me, baby, just look at me I'm the prettiest ghost in the room you'll never see You've got your mates and your pints and your Saturday plans And I'm just the girl with your heart in her hands Look at me, baby, before I'm gone I've been your summer, you've been my song But a girl can only shine so long For a man who won't look at me [Verse 2] Your phone keeps buzzing, it's always them "One more round, love, I'll be home by ten" Ten turns to two, and two turns to three Smelling of somewhere that isn't me I keep your jacket and I keep the light on Keep telling my girlfriends you're the one But they just smile in that sorry way Like they've seen this movie play [Pre-Chorus] And I'm waiting, waiting Like a song on the radio That you never turn up Never turn up [Chorus] Look at me, baby, just look at me I'm the prettiest ghost in the room you'll never see You've got your mates and your pints and your Saturday plans And I'm just the girl with your heart in her hands Look at me, baby, before I'm gone I've been your summer, you've been my song But a girl can only shine so long For a man who won't look at me [Bridge] I don't want diamonds, I don't need the sky Just want you to catch my eye Hold my hand the way you did Back when we were only kids One day you'll turn around, I swear And all you'll find is perfume in the air [Final Chorus] Look at me, baby, just look at me I'm the prettiest ghost in the room you'll never see You've got your mates and your pints and your Saturday plans And I'm just the girl with your heart in her hands Look at me, baby, before I'm gone I've been your summer, you've been my song But a girl can only shine so long For a man who won't look at me [Outro] Won't look at me Mm, baby, I'm right here Right here #DreamPop #LyricVideo #BARMACY
