"LINGER AWHILE": JON-ERIK KELLSO, MATT MUNISTERI, DENNIS LICHTMAN, JAY RATTMAN (The Ear Inn 7.7.24)

From the wings, a hero arrives. This happened last Sunday, July 7, 2024, at The Ear Inn, 326 Spring Street, Soho, New York City. The EarRegulars for that night were to be Jon-Erik Kellso, trumpet; Matt Munisteri, guitar; Dennis Lichtman, clarinet; Jay Rattman, bass saxophone. But they began the evening, splendidly, as a trio, because Kellso had had a horn-incident on the subway steps that damaged his horn, and he went back home for a replacement. Here the trio becomes a quartet right in front of our eyes, and the crowd -- those in the know -- goes wild. Recorded by Michael Steinman for JAZZ LIVES (http://www.jazzlives.wordpress.com).
