The Dolomites 🇮🇹 | No Plans, No Maps — Just Wandering, Just Adventures.

When you truly manage to immerse yourself in the moment you are living in, when your thoughts finally align with your physical presence in one place, that is when, I think, a sense of authenticity begins to emerge. Perhaps this is exactly what my wandering mind is searching for. This journey through the Dolomites unfolded precisely according to that principle: no plans, no maps — just wandering, just adventures. And the final two days felt like the cherry on top. They added so much colour and so many impressions, drawing me into an incredible state of mind, perhaps even something resembling nirvana. And perhaps those two days helped me understand a little better the words of Alex — Supertramp — from the book Into the Wild: “Happiness is only real when shared…” To be honest, I never really wanted to agree with this idea. It seemed to me that being alone was the best way to live. That freedom meant being able to follow my own path, depend on no one, and never have to coordinate my movements with anyone else. But perhaps, after all the adventures life has thrown my way — and those that are still unfolding — I have finally begun to understand this quote, at least fifty per cent of the way. Perhaps it was during this journey that Alex Supertramp’s words suddenly stopped feeling like something I disagreed with. Not because solitude had lost its value, but because I experienced the value of something different. What comes next doesn't matter. No maps, no plans — just wandering, just adventures. Still, the final days of this trip have taken first place among all my journeys this year. Roaming through this beautiful land, immersing myself in the unique world of the Alpine mountains, and experiencing moments that stay with you even when the road is already leading you somewhere else. So, with an edelweiss etched into my soul, I keep moving forward — towards journeys, towards adventures, towards new places I have yet to discover. And above all, towards myself. Towards my true self, even if I am a little afraid of discovering who I really am. “Happiness is only real when shared…” P.S. The truth is, I still haven't made up my mind.
