An open loop scrubber removes sulfur oxides (SOx) from a ship’s exhaust gas using seawater. Seawater is pumped into the scrubber tower and sprayed into the exhaust gas, where it absorbs sulfur compounds. The treated exhaust gas is then released through the funnel, while the used washwater is processed and discharged according to applicable regulations. #OpenLoopScrubber #MarineEngineering #SOxScrubber #EngineRoom #Seafarer
