Taking on the beautiful Babylon By Bus route at the Dalle du Maillet (Mallet Slab) in the stunning Cirque de Troumouse, French Pyrenees. Base-camping out of Bagnères-de-Bigorre, this turned into quite the adventure—including navigating the narrow, livestock-heavy D922 road, dealing with high first bolts, an accidental off-route detour onto Tonton Coinceurs (Grade 4), a sketchy ledge traverse to get back on track for an awesome third pitch on which I took two lead falls!
I also share the hike down at the end for anyone looking for trail info, along with a reminder of why you shouldn't let go of your rope end while rappelling!
