Relax with 1 hour of Trek-themed ambient music as a new front opens in the war. Romulans have entered the war, siding with the Xindi. Both are now pressing their newfound advantages. Xindi have overwhelming numbers and the Romulan plasma weapon is devastating one-on-one and fleet-melting en mass. LOG OVERVIEW ------------------- The USS Yorktown and USS Enterprise survey the frontier while a fleet gathers at the Belt Border. Romulan forces strike the Fiorina Belt; Pioneer-class starships hold the line with full 360-degree phaser coverage until the main fleet arrives and the Belt is won. With the frontier secured, colonization begins and a starbase network rises along the border. Scouting turns to Hadas and Sextens, the Xindi world nearest Federation space. Two Constitution-class ships move on Hadas, one a decoy, one carrying Kirk's real objective, and the USS Columbia slips past two massed Xindi fleets using the diversion. The Columbia limps back to the Belt heavily damaged from the Battle of the Columbia, saved only by engineer Pellea's miracle work. Long-range scanners detect the Remans of Remus, a minor faction and a possible ally against the Romulan-Xindi alliance. A Federation-class dreadnought launches to reinforce the line, but the newly built Miranda-class capital is lost defending the Belt as the Xindi press an attack on Sextens. Without it, the starbase takes heavy damage, Xindi and Romulan ships carry forward weapons only, no match for Federation 360-degree coverage, but only if the Federation can bring it to bear. The second Battle of the Belt is hard-won and brutal. Three fleets are massing for what comes next.
