During this walk around the Eminönü, Küçükpazar, and Tahtakale districts, we explore two of Istanbul’s historic hans: Büyük Yeni Han and Büyük Valide Han. Büyük Valide Han was built in 1651 during the Ottoman era and is one of the largest historic hans in Istanbul. Büyük Yeni Han, completed in 1764, became an important center for trade and merchants in the city. After walking through the hidden corridors of history, we continue into the lively streets of Küçükpazar and Tahtakale, one of the busiest trading areas in Eminönü.
