Stormy Day on Vancouver Island

Storms on the coast of Vancouver Island herald the arrival of winter. Strong winds push clouds above the treetops and down into the valleys, heavy rain swells the creeks while large waves form and crash onto the shore. Birds take advantage of the last moments of respite to feed before huddling together to shelter from the fierce wind. An award-winning nature photographer, Catherine Babault shares her passion for nature photography and conservation through her photo tours and workshops held year-round on Vancouver Island, public presentations and photo books. She has appeared in the press and on several television and radio shows. Catherine Babault is the author of three photo books. Learn more about Catherine at catherinebabault.com. Catherine Babault is grateful to have the opportunity to work in these traditional, ancestral and unceded territories. She lives on the unceded traditional territory of the K’ómoks First Nation, the traditional keepers of the Land of plenty since time immemorial.
