Drinking Water Directive Workshop - Day 1

ECHA’s hybrid Drinking Water Directive (DWD) workshop brings together everyone preparing to submit applications to ECHA to add, review, or remove starting substances, compositions, or constituents from the European positive list under the Drinking Water Directive. The workshop will introduce the legal obligations and information requirements for DWD applications and provide an update on our preparations for launching the application processes in early 2027. You will also receive an overview of the IT tools and submission systems that we are setting up, along with the guidance materials, IUCLID manuals, and practical resources available to support applicants. In addition, we, together with our stakeholders, will reflect on the first nine months of the DWD notification of intention process, which began in January 2026. This workshop follows the hands‑on hybrid event held on 1–2 June 2026[AE1.1], which focused on using the IUCLID software to prepare DWD application dossiers. Whether you join online or in person, this workshop will serve as a key platform for updates, practical guidance, and resources for preparing to act as DWD applicants and notifiers from 2027 onwards.
