In this video, I tackled a problem involving a car's and a motorbike's motion along a straight horizontal road. The car starts from rest and accelerates uniformly for 30 seconds until it reaches a speed of \( V \) m/s, then continues at this constant speed until time \( t = T \) seconds. I demonstrated that the distance travelled by car between \( t = 0 \) and \( t = T \) seconds is \( V(T - 15) \) metres. Next, I analyzed the motion of a motorbike that starts from rest at \( t = 10 \) seconds, accelerates uniformly for 40 seconds with the same acceleration as the car, travels at a constant speed for 10 seconds, and then decelerates uniformly to reach speed \( V \) m/s at time \( T \) seconds. I sketched the speed-time graph for the motorbike and showed that its constant speed is \( \frac{4V}{3} \) m/s. Finally, I determined the value of \( T \) by equating the distances travelled by both vehicles at time \( T \). This problem covered essential topics such as speed-time graphs, uniform acceleration, constant speed motion, kinematic equations, and relative motion. It provided a comprehensive understanding of how to analyze and compare the motion of different objects. #Physics #Edexcel #IAL #M1 #SpeedTimeGraphs #UniformAcceleration #Kinematics #RelativeMotion #MathWeb #ProblemSolving #ExamPrep #ViralMath #StudyWithMe #PhysicsProblems #MathTutorial
