Twenty-two years ago, I was in a Christian band in Bangalore. We had one album to our name, a debut that lived on a cassette. Yes, a cassette. You could hold our whole sound in the palm of your hand and wind it back with a pencil when the tape got tangled. And then, the way these things often go, the band came apart, a quiet scattering of friends who had once shared a stage and a dream. But a song doesn't stop when the band does. A bandmate and I weren't ready to put the music down, so we tried something none of us had done before: we wrote in Hindi. We began with one song, and it came together in a couple of days, the way things do when they're meant to. We brought in two sisters and a guitar teacher, and together we walked into a small studio that had contacts with a big record label. It felt like a sign. The cassette was already fading by then. What we walked out with was a shiny CD, our song burned onto a disc that caught the light like a promise. We sent it off with all the hope two young musicians could carry. Back then, nobody was making this kind of music, and we were sure it was different enough to be noticed. It wasn't, or at least not by anyone who mattered. Our CD, I'm certain, landed on a tall pile of forgotten things and slept there quietly. Life moved on, as it does. But the music didn't leave us. Somewhere along the way, we found a way to make it ourselves. In my brother's garage, with a computer humming in the corner and Emagic Logic glowing on the screen, we recorded the song again, this time with a few of my friends. No studio clock ticking, no one waiting on us. I still think it was the best version we ever made. I'll be honest, I didn't know the first thing about mixing. The heart was there, but the polish wasn't. And then it became a small file, an MP3, and went to sleep in a folder. More than twenty-two years later, I found it. By now the world had changed again. Machines had learned to listen, and a few clicks could do what I never could back then. So I thought, why not? Why not give this old song a second life? I was completely blown away by what came back. It was the same song, the same voices and the same memory, only clearer, as if someone had wiped the dust off a window I'd been looking through for two decades. So here it is again. Give it a listen. If it stirs something in you, leave a comment, I'd love to hear it. And if you feel like sharing it with someone who might need a little nostalgia today, I'd be grateful. To everything and everyone we hold close to our hearts: cheers to you! #hindisong #hindilovesong #lovesong #lovesongs #hindi #2026 #youtube #song #songslyrics #songs #love Video Clips by Taryn Elliott from Pexels.com, Thank you!!
