Rehabilitating a 20-Year-Old Pet Trade Capuchin | Monkey Life | Season 9 Episode 7

After spending 18 years living as a pet in a private home, 20-year-old capuchin Dino arrives at the sanctuary in need of companionship. Keepers carefully pair him with Winslow, a former research laboratory monkey who was severely injured and ousted from his dominant position by his troop of 17 capuchins. The care team closely monitors their behavioral cues during their first indoor and outdoor introductions, ultimately observing crucial trust-building behaviors as Winslow invites the tentative newcomer for a grooming session. Monkey Life follows the work of Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre with nail-biting rescue and rehabilitation stories. Whilst there are primates in need, Dr. Alison Cronin, Jeremy Keeling and their dedicated team continue to fight the illegal trade in primates and give those rescued a safe haven for the rest of their lives.
