Train: Various Operators (Southeastern & Thameslink)
Service: Station Announcements
Date: 27/09/2026
Location: London Bridge Station
Today’s video features a collection of 17 station announcements recorded at London Bridge Station on Sunday 27 September 2026, including Southeastern and Thameslink services, manual announcements, platform alterations and disruption announcements following a fire in the Clapham Junction area. 🚆📢
London Bridge is one of London’s busiest railway stations, with frequent services connecting Central London with destinations across Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
The station is served by Southeastern, Thameslink and Southern, providing connections to destinations including London Charing Cross, Cannon Street, Brighton, Cambridge, Bedford, Sevenoaks and Dartford.
London Bridge also provides connections with the Northern and Jubilee lines, making it an important interchange between National Rail and London Underground services.
🔥 Railway Fire Near Clapham Junction — 27 September 2026
One particularly interesting part of this recording is the train service disruption announcements concerning a fire in the Clapham Junction area.
On Sunday 27 September 2026, a fire broke out beside the railway near Clapham Junction, damaging signalling equipment.
The incident was reported at 14:31 and caused major disruption to services between Clapham Junction and London Victoria, Imperial Wharf and Denmark Hill.
The fire affected several operators:
🚆 Southern: Services were cancelled, diverted or severely delayed, with some delays reaching 60 minutes.
🚆 Gatwick Express: Services were suspended.
🚆 London Overground: Services towards Clapham Junction were diverted to Battersea Park.
🚆 South Western Railway: Services were subsequently able to operate normally.
National Rail advised passengers travelling between London and Brighton to consider alternative Thameslink services from London Bridge.
The damaged signalling equipment required repairs, and disruption continued into Monday 28 September.
This explains why the disruption announcements feature in today’s recording, making it an interesting example of how major incidents elsewhere on the railway network can affect passenger information at London Bridge.

🚆 About the Announcements
There is a good mixture of announcements in this video, including regular Southeastern commuter services, longer-distance Thameslink services and several manual announcements made by station staff.
The 15:35 Thameslink service to Brighton is particularly interesting because Thameslink services were among the alternative routes recommended to passengers affected by the disruption around London Victoria.
The video also includes a platform alteration for the 15:43 Southeastern service to London Charing Cross, alongside several other manual announcements.
The two disruption announcements concerning the Clapham Junction fire make this recording particularly interesting, capturing passenger information during a significant railway incident.
🎥 Update About Trains at London Bridge
Unfortunately, there won’t be a full Trains at London Bridge video from this trip.
Sorry about that! 😭🚆
After looking through the footage I recorded, I realised I didn’t actually have that many train clips from London Bridge, and some of the clips I did record weren’t the best quality.
Because of that, I’ve decided against putting together a full trainspotting video from the station.
However, there will still be some YouTube Shorts featuring trains at London Bridge! 🚆📱
So although there won’t be a full-length trainspotting upload, some of the footage will still make it onto the channel as individual Shorts.
This announcement video is another recording from my 27 September 2026 London railway trip, which has already featured London Underground journeys, station announcements and trainspotting at Clapham Junction.
Thanks for watching Cordells Trains & Journeys! 🚆📢🎥
