Los Angeles Fire Department companies were dispatched to a reported structure fire on the 1800 blk of S. Main St. just after 02:00hrs.
Units assigned: CM22 BC1 BC5 BC11 BC13 T9 TF3 TF10 LF11 LF15 LF20 LF26 E209 E13 E14 E66 HR3 UR3 UR88 SQ21 EM11 RA3 RA803 RA9 RA10 RA810 EA1
TF10 was first on scene of a single-story 200x200 vacant medical office, with fire through the roof. 2 additional task forces were immediately requested; TF10 established Washington IC and set-up for defensive operations, ordering all companies to fight the fire from the exterior only.
Ladder pipes and large hand lines were utilized to knock down the bulk of the fire and allow crews to safely enter and extinguish remaining hot spots.
CM22 was the incident commander with BC11 as the safety officer and BC13 as operations.
Knockdown was called in 51 minutes with 102 personnel. No injuries reported, unknown cause.
