How to Stop Dying Early on Phantom | Tyr

she/her Fun story, I'm a destroyer main in World of Warships, so when I first started playing Tyr I really thought I was going to main light tanks. Out of all of those tanks, Phantom seemed the most exciting to me. However, I was put off by how fragile it was and how difficult to felt to get value. Nevermind the fact that having multiple phantoms on a team probably torpedoes your winrates into the negative. Needless to say, I became a bit of a Phantom hater over the weeks as I saw so many Phantoms just explode early in my games. However, you can see from how consistent Phantom mains can be that there is some life in this tank. It requires playing on the absolute knife's edge in order to spot the enemy for your team. If you're not participating in the information game, and instead just playing the world's lowest DPM Ark, then you might as well be on a different tank. But with a speedy build, extremely heads up and high awareness play, and absolute mechanical precision... you can approach something like a 50% winrate on this silly tank. And if you're a god beyond that maybe you can even go positive wins to losses in your games. Anyway, I fear the generation of Phantom mains this video spawns.
