A full winter ascent of Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) in challenging seasonal conditions. This hike showcases the reality of winter mountaineering in Snowdonia / Eryri, including ice, snow, spindrift, strong winds and rapidly changing weather. Winter on Snowdon is a completely different mountain. Underestimating conditions can be dangerous, which is why proper kit, experience and planning are essential. This video is part of my ongoing mountain journey, documenting real experiences in the UK’s wildest landscapes. 📍 Location: Snowdon / Yr Wyddfa, Snowdonia (Eryri), Wales 🥾 Route: Pyg Track / Llanberis 🎒 Conditions: Winter / snow / ice / high winds If you're planning a winter hike on Snowdon, make sure you check: ✅ Mountain Weather Information Service (MWIS) ✅ Met Office mountain forecasts ✅ SAIS / local avalanche reports (when relevant) ✅ Daylight hours & ground conditions Always be prepared to turn back.
