Cutting someone off isn't always the boundary you think it is — sometimes it's just avoidance wearing a boundary's clothes.
We've turned "cutting people off" into a personality trait. Any red flag, any inconvenience, any quirk we don't love — gone, no conversation required. In this one I'm making the case that a lot of what gets called "protecting your peace" is actually just discomfort avoidance, and that real boundaries require communication, not disappearance.
This is for the woman who's proud of her "cut off game" but has never actually told someone what bothered her before ending the relationship. We'll talk about the difference between a boundary and a wall, why grace and conflict resolution have basically become a lost art, and what it actually sounds like to tell someone "I don't like when you do this" instead of just ghosting them.
You'll walk away with a different lens on your last few cutoffs — and maybe a harder conversation you've been avoiding.
