Bari Studios was built in 1956, when Bari Malik turned his dream into reality with the extraordinary earnings from his blockbuster film "Yake Wali." It became Pakistan’s largest and most advanced film production hub, where dozens of super-hit films were produced during the 1960s and 70s. At its peak, the studio boasted six shooting floors, recording halls, and modern editing rooms. Bari Studios also gave Lollywood its golden era, nurturing legendary stars like Mohammad Ali, Zeba, Nadeem, Waheed Murad, Shahid, Babra Sharif, and Reema.
