Lahore’s Bari Studios, once known as the "fairyland of films," has been sold after 64 years of its establishment. This revelation was made by Khurram Bari Malik, son of the studio’s founder, Bari Malik.
Bari Studios was built in 1956, when Bari Malik turned his dream into reality with the extraordinary earnings from his blockbuster film "Yake Wali."
It became Pakistan’s largest and most advanced film production hub, where dozens of super-hit films were produced during the 1960s and 70s. At its peak, the studio boasted six shooting floors, recording halls, and modern editing rooms.
Bari Studios also gave Lollywood its golden era, nurturing legendary stars like Mohammad Ali, Zeba, Nadeem, Waheed Murad, Shahid, Babra Sharif, and Reema.
Now, this historic cinematic fortress has been sold, but its memories will forever remain a shining chapter in Pakistan’s film history.
