3YEARS

I met Steve at a work offsite. We learned we both play Rocket League. He told me he was peak C1, I told him I usually get GC rewards each season. He said he'd never be that high rank, but I told him if he wanted to dedicate time to coaching and practicing, I bet we could get there together. Eric joined us in the cause, and we became a dedicated squad. That was 3 years ago. Eric and I live in the same city in Canada, and Steve is coming to visit for Eric's wedding, so I slapped this together as a celebration for us to watch together on the couch and reminisce on moments we've shared over the last 3 years. This video covers various clips I've collected over that time span, roughly in chronological order. I hadn't been saving clips for any specific project, so this video is pretty much just a collection of random clips I've recorded over that time period, that I've roughly framed around Steve's journey to his first GC rank. It also includes some clips from competing in the Corporate Esports League with our other friend and colleague Tyler. This video is really just for the 4 of us, but maybe you'll enjoy our antics too. Audio is pretty hit or miss depending on the era of the clip, there wasn't much I could to save some of them beyond what I tried. You might notice in some clips the screen looks weird and cut off, or that the boost indicator looks weird. Most of my clips were recorded in 21:9, but I wanted the video to be 16:9, so I masked the boost indicator into frame which doesn't always look perfect.
