MBUGHARI OKOROSHA EKWEALO AMIKE

During this outing, Okorosha is taken around all the villages in Amike that perform masquerade, to show that the group is fully prepared for the season. It is a way of announcing their readiness and formally informing other villages. After this round, the masquerade will return to its village square on the set festival date, where all their traditional songs will be performed in full. These songs are usually heard during the outing, but they are not meant to lure people to the village square before the main day. This first outing is mainly for announcement, preparation, and tradition, before the final performance.
