Making Trance on the JE-8086 — Long, Messy, Real-Time Session

Quite a few of you have wondered what it’s actually like to use the JE-8086 in real time — so I aim to please. This is a long, messy, slightly under-edited, noisy, badly graded, and questionably mixed screencast of me trying to turn whatever is in my head into something in a relatively short amount of time. The main focus here is simply to see the JE-8086 in action. It starts right at the beginning, with only drums, percussion, and FX preloaded — everything else is written live. I’m only using free plugins here since I’m a cheap sucker: Valhalla Supermassive for reverb. Flux Mini 2 for sidechain. Cableguys Pancake for stereo panning. And stock EQs for desperately trying to make it sound less sh*it 😄 Btw — the bass is a bit loud and bleeeeech in the first part… I do fix it after a while 😅 Real-time session. No cuts (except real life). Slow TV. Again, this is a loooooooong video and not for the faint-hearted.
