On Saturday morning, Raul Fernandez took the first pole position of his MotoGP career. On Saturday afternoon, contact with Marco Bezzecchi at Turn One put him out of the Sprint with a broken right index finger. On Sunday morning, he found out a second finger was broken too. He raced anyway. He led the early laps of the Indonesian Grand Prix. He braked using his middle finger instead of his index — on a MotoGP bike, at a circuit where you arrive at Turn One at over three hundred kilometres an hour. Marco Bezzecchi, the man whose contact broke the first finger, passed him for the lead on lap nineteen and won. Fernandez held on for second. Afterwards he didn't celebrate. He said he'd made too many mistakes, run wide, worn his rear tyre out — and that on the last lap he was completely done. In this episode we go through the most extraordinary ride of the season, and what it actually takes to do what he did. 👉 SUBSCRIBE to GP Daily. 💬 COMMENT: Best ride of 2026? *Chapters* 00:00 — Sunday Morning 01:10 — The Pole 02:20 — The Finger 03:30 — Braking Without An Index Finger 05:00 — The Race 06:15 — "Completely Done" 07:25 — Your Verdict #MotoGP #RaulFernandez #Trackhouse #Aprilia #Mandalika #IndonesianGP #Bezzecchi #MotoGP2026 #GPDaily
