Long carve of the Primus Protest lady. Quick background cutting with my gouge. #woodcutting #art

Putting the finishing touches on the background of my new woodcut of the #Primus Lady who told the world #FDT almost as well as Nipsey Hustle, and was uncowed by the #MAGA folks who tried to shout her down. #GenZ is central to the #Resistance. Be like this lady and bring this energy to the polls in the midterms. It's not going to just be a #BlueWave, but a #BlueFlood. This is a long carve of quick work. The cherry woodblock carves like a dream. While in the medieval and Renaissance periods they often used apple as superior, I can't imagine something that holds a fine edge while carving easily. #asmr #shopsounds #art #printmakingprocess #printmaking #woodcut #carving
