Buque polivalente CARNOTA A61 [4K]

‪@jorodmon‬ Nuevo buque de la Armada Española, CARNOTA A61. Dado de alta en la LOBA (Lista Oficial de Buques de la Armada) el 29 de noviembre de 2023, es un buque polivalente. Ex OCEAN OSPREY, buque offshore. Bautizado con el nombre de CARNOTA en honor al pueblo de dicho municipio que mostró un gran valor al auxiliar al destructor Ariete D36. Desde la fatídica jornada del 25 de febrero de 1966, en la que el destructor “Ariete” (D-36) embarrancó en las costas de Galicia, el municipio de Carnota mantiene un vinculo especial con la Armada. Sin tener en cuenta el alto riesgo que suponía y en medio de un bravo temporal, los habitantes de esta villa arriesgaron sus vidas para salvar a la totalidad de la dotación del destructor, 168 hombres, con los escasos medios de los que disponían. En reconocimiento a su valor y al servicio prestado, se le concedió al Ayuntamiento de Carnota el titulo de Muy Humanitario, honor del que hoy en día se hace gala y es motivo de orgullo para gran parte de su población.
