*Saldanha Baai (Live Version) - Grantd Phillips with The Waterfront Band* Experience the heartfelt live version of my very first Afrikaans song, recorded at Hippos with The Waterfront Band in late 2014. "Saldanha Baai" was written during a beautiful family holiday on the West Coast in 2003/2004. My son was just a toddler (3 or 4 years old), riding on my shoulders everywhere we went. His mom and I were still a young married couple, sharing special moments with close friends. I still remember standing by the fire braaiing snoek, guitar in hand, when the song suddenly came together. This track has never been available digitally until now (2025). I’ve finally created a music video using original footage from that era, mixed with carefully chosen stock footage and AI tools to bring the memories to life.
