Welcome back to SkyFactory 4! Part 3, and we open exactly where Part 2 left off - except this time I've Googled how to harvest bonsai trees and the answer is, embarrassingly, right-click with an axe. Part 1 -    • Starting from Nothing - A Minecraft Beginn...   Part 2 -    • I Chopped Through My Own Platform Twice - ...   With that crisis resolved, the plan is to progress through the advancement tree: hopping bonsai pots for automation, a porcelain melter for metals, and eventually iron. Simple enough. The execution involves discovering that iron ingots require a block of iron which requires iron ingots (genuinely unclear how this is supposed to work), a cauldron I make and immediately don't know what to do with, a circular dependency involving sand saplings, gravel acorns, and crushing tubs, and a brief but heartfelt tribute to Vine. The real journey of this episode is the cottonwood sapling - a seemingly straightforward advancement that requires a jungle sapling, which requires mud, which requires water, which requires leaves, which requires shears, which I don't have. Forty things before the one thing. That's the mod. That's the whole mod. We do get there eventually, and we do get a cottonwood sapling in hand before the axe gives up entirely. The mod remains genuinely great.
