Somebody's Mother Poem Class 8 || Animated Video || Somebody's Mother Poorvi Unit 2
In the poem "Somebody's Mother" by Mary Dow Brine, an old, ragged woman stands by the street, ignored by passersby, representing somebody's mother. Despite her frail appearance, a kind young boy stops to help her across, showing compassion toward somebody's mother. The boy reflects on the importance of caring for elders, wishing that someone would help his own mother if she were in need, understanding that every elderly person is somebody's mother. The act of kindness warms his heart and reminds the reader to respect the dignity of all, especially somebody's mother. As she prays that God honors the boy's kindness, we are left contemplating our responsibility toward somebody's mother everywhere we go.
