The BULL & HEIFER pub (Mid Wales) | Traditional music session

There used to be a regular monthly folk music session at The Bull & Heifer pub in Bettws Cedewain near Newtown on the first Thursday of each month. We went along on Thursday 4 October 2018 and Graham played anglo concertina. The session has since moved (summer 2019) to The Lion Hotel in Caerhowell near Montgomery. Graham was joined in this set by Bob Keeble (fiddle), Cornelius Eger (fiddle), John Hextall (baritone saxophone), Lisa Sture (fiddle), Peter Croll (fiddle), Rees Wesson (melodeon) and Will Duke (anglo concertina). Tunes 1. The Shropshire Lass - traditional English folk tune. 2. Meillionen - traditional Welsh folk tune. Meillionen is Welsh for Clover, and is also a river near Beddgelert, Gwynedd in North West Wales.
