5 inch gauge, battery electric model of a BR Class 03, 0-6-0 diesel shunter.

Built by my father, first time run in fifteen years. Runs off a 12 volt car battery which sits under the engine cover, driving 4 motors. Can haul the driver and half a dozen adults. This is the first time it has been fired up in about fifteen years. All still seems good. Was used to give rides on the East Sussex Model Engineer’s club track in Alexandra Park Hastings (which the club built). Was also used on the club’s portable track at shows and events and at fetes on my dad’s own portable track. The Rem/Dir switch is to switch between the cab controls and remote controls which were on the driver's trolley. Connection was via the sockets seen on the back of the cab. A detailed and nicely built functional model. You were a good engineer dad, and I miss you.
