When the sound of the ghungroos (ankle bells) rises from her feet, it feels as if an ancient melody is playing once again on the banks of the River Indus. Every beat of this Kathak, every gesture of the hand, tells the story of that ancient woman — who danced not for an audience in a gathering, but in her own ecstasy. Past and Present: Just imagine what that era must have been like... When art was considered worship in Sindh. When music came from every home, dance from every street, and craft from every hand. Mohenjo-daro is the proof that we were not savages, we were artists. We taught the world how to build cities, roads, jewelry, and dance. But today? Today everything has changed. Where ghungroos once chimed, now there is silence. Where art was once appreciated, now art is considered a flaw. We were a nation that could breathe life into stone, and today we are burying living art. This video is a small salute to that lost glory.
