In this episode of NeuroAlchemy, Dr. Sarah Young sits down with Carla Archer for an empowering conversation about perimenopause, nervous system regulation, emotional awareness, identity, relationships, and reconnecting with ourselves during one of life’s most significant transitions. When perimenopause brought brain fog, emotional changes, and a growing sense of disconnection, Carla realized she needed an approach that went beyond managing symptoms. Her journey led her deeper into nervous system regulation, energy, frequency, and intentional living. Carla is the creator of the Tune the F Up philosophy, where the “F” represents Frequency, Flow, and Freedom. Her work explores how shifting our internal state can influence the way we communicate, connect, lead, love, and move through everyday life. Together, Sarah and Carla discuss why so many women feel blindsided by perimenopause and how hormonal changes can affect emotional capacity, self-perception, relationships, and nervous system regulation. They also explore the possibility that this transition is not simply an ending, but an invitation to step into greater wisdom, self-awareness, and personal agency. Topics explored include: • perimenopause, menopause, and emotional change • nervous system regulation during major life transitions • frequency as an emotional and energetic state • Carla’s Frequency, Flow, and Freedom philosophy • moving from unconscious reactions into conscious choice • identity changes and reconnecting with yourself • state before strategy • relationships and communication during menopause • co-regulation and supportive community • shifting from survival into greater flow • feminine wisdom, sisterhood, and belonging • simple signs that the nervous system is becoming more regulated At the heart of this conversation is a gentle reminder: There is nothing wrong with you. Awareness is not an invitation to judge yourself. It is an opportunity to meet yourself with compassion and choose what will support you next. 🌿 Micro Practice Invitation: The State Reset For the next seven days, pause once each day and gently check in with yourself. Relax your shoulders and take two slow breaths. Ask: • What emotion am I leading from right now? • Am I present, or am I several steps ahead? • What state would better support me during the next hour? Then remember a moment when you felt peaceful, grateful, joyful, or deeply at ease. Allow yourself to experience that memory through your body, including the sights, sounds, sensations, and emotions. Notice whether anything begins to soften or shift. This practice is not about suppressing difficult emotions or forcing positivity. It is about creating enough space to respond with greater awareness and choice. 🧠 Learn More About Carla Archer Facebook:   / thefwordexpert   Instagram:   / thefwordexpert   🌿 Connect with Dr. Sarah Young brainandbodyreimagined.com (https://home.neurosynergyhealth.com/h...)    / @brainandbodyreimagined   (   / @brainandbodyreimagined  ) If this episode resonated with you, please consider liking, sharing, and subscribing.
