Mechanical Extract, Mechanical Inlet - Smoke Extraction

This video simulates a mechanical extract, mechanical inlet smoke ventilation system. The sequence reproduces: 1- Smoke detector activated. 2- Top of stairwell AOV opens. 3- Inlet and Extract smoke shaft dampers open. 4- Inlet and Extract fans run (NOTE: Extract shaft should be furthest away from stairwell, Inlet shaft should be closest to stairwell. You try and pull smoke away from the stairwell door to protect the stairwell). 5- Stairwell door opens as smoke affected dwelling occupants evacuate. 6- Stairwell door closes behind them. 7- Stairwell door opens when fire fighters attend to sort fire, door kept open by fireman’s hose.
