Illinois Railway Museum: Showcase Weekend 2025

We return to the Illinois Railway Museum to see what's cooking for Showcase Weekend! A very pleasant surprise on this trip was seeing Metra #614 out an about. The Diesel Department had managed to repair it enough for it to be paired up with other locomotives and lead a train as a "Cab Car", so it was paired with another recent arrival, BNSF #6976 , on the coach train. Other highlights were BN-3 and BN #9976 on the Bi-Level train, the Nebraska Zephyr with 9911a, and J. Neils Lumber Company 5 in operation. At the end also is a brief sight of Santa Fe #92 being put on the coach train after 6976 broke down near the end of the day!
