Week one in my Japanese abandoned house (akiya) is officially underway! 🇯🇵
After buying an old abandoned house in the Japanese countryside, it's time to start turning it into a home. There's a lot to figure out, a lot to clean, and a few surprises along the way.
This week we're tackling the fridge situation, buying supplies and tools to make the cleaning process easier, making our first trip to the dump, and getting a handyman to inspect the plumbing to see what we're dealing with.
It's definitely not going to be an overnight transformation, but little by little we're making progress.
Welcome to the journey of restoring my Japanese akiya!
