Somewhere along the way, someone decided it was a warning: "If she looks younger than she is... run." But what is that line really saying, and what did Carl Jung actually notice about women whose faces don't seem to follow the calendar?
In this video we look at what people are really sensing when they say a woman looks younger than her age, and what Jung's psychology says about it. We also look at where the warning comes from and who it truly applies to.
What we cover:
1. She has a living inner life (Jung's 1909 dream of the house with many floors)
2. She holds opposites instead of choosing one side
3. She is answering to something larger than her ego (the Self and the numinous)
4. Why some people say "run": projection, the "eternal girl" (puella aeterna) from Marie-Louise von Franz, and inflation
5. Who should actually run, and why her depth can feel threatening to others
6. How to tell real depth from avoidance, with three honest questions
7. A simple practice you can start tonight: a dream notebook next to your bed
A note on accuracy: Jung never wrote the sentence in the title. This video draws on his real ideas (interiority, the shadow, projection, the Self, inflation) to explore why some people seem to carry their years differently, and why appearance alone tells you very little about a person.
