Getting My Name

"Getting My Name" is an empowering, high-energy modern country anthem about reclamation, freedom, and rediscovering one's true self after a heartbreak. Anchored by rich geographic touchstones across Tennessee-from Knoxville and Cookeville to Memphis, Chattanooga, and Nashville-the song traces a journey from the initial ache of abandonment to joyful independence. With an upbeat tempo and a soaring chorus, it captures the exact moment the protagonist trades waiting for someone else's "maybe" for her own definitive "yes." It's a celebration of sisterhood, letting go of resentment, and realizing that the best thing you can rescue is yourself. https://linktr.ee/tennesseethroughmyeyes
