How To Install A Blow Off Valve (BOV) On A Subaru Impreza GC8 (EJ20)

An original DDM series! This is the fourth episode of our new series named 'JDM Bargain Battle'! In this episode, I show you how to install a BOV to your GC8! This is not GC8 specific, thankfully Subaru decided to keep their EJ20 platform for generations thereafter, so the process should remain the same with your Forester’s, Legacy’s, and later generation Impreza’s. Of course, this install will not bring any performance benefits, but that sweet sweet turbo whistle! Something the Del Sol won’t have the ‘luxury’ of. Before anyone asks, the BOV was a HKS SSQV ;) Make sure to have the full kit in order to have an easy and swift install: BOV, adapter for intercooler, air filter, 34mm plug, and 4mm hoses. I have seen some people use a bottle cap in order to plug up their turbo hose, but you did not hear it from me…… Seriously, I do not condone it. Tune in to our next episode coming soon!
