The final finished K'nex version of The Incredible Hulk Coaster!
Statistics:
Pieces: 3,389
Length of track: 41.5 track pieces, or about 54 feet
Duration of ride: 8.31 seconds
Time to build: 2.5 months
Kits used: Doubleshot Coaster, Cobra Curse Coaster, Two Rippin Rocket 2 Coasters, and tons of K'nex pieces ordered from the website
I used the custom backbone design (thanks to bballer347) to greatly strengthen the track. I also used the tube support design to add that extra "flare" to it. This coaster has the biggest micro k'nex cobra roll ever, and the fact that it's being supported by tube supports is insane. The midcourse brakes before the last corkscrew are my custom design, and can be adjusted to how much it slows the car down. I used two micro boosters, one in the lift hill and one right after the first vertical loop (it's camouflaged by the bridge, also a signature feature of the coaster). I also used pledge on certain sections of the track to speed it up! Everything about this coaster is an exact replica of the actual Hulk Coaster in Orlando Florida, sadly except for the section after the last corkscrew, in that the coaster didn't had enough power to go through those last couple twists and turns into the station, so I just built a small lift hill. Also, the real coaster in Orlando had the first vertical loop almost as tall as the cobra roll, but for speed reasons, it couldn't be done. Enjoy!
